Number of Campsites: West Bay Acadia RV Campground has 24-tiered campsites, allowing for outstanding views. Only fully contained units can camp here. There are no public facilities. All sites have a picnic table, fire pit, Wi-Fi, and full hookups with more than one access point to make it easier to connect for any rig. Pull-through sites, slide-outs, and full-time campers are welcome. Electricity is included with your rental, but if it goes over $10 a day, you may be billed. A three-night minimum is required.
Campground Amenities: Dusty's dog park, electric car charging available, and you can opt to have professional speed internet. A camp store will be added in 2025. The access to the bay has been improved to allow easier kayaking. This site is a dark sky campground, which means that lights must be turned off at night. The Island Explorer now stops at West Bay Acadia.
Recreational Activities: Enjoying the quiet, the views, the wildlife, and the dark sky is what recreation is all about. Kayaking is a popular activity. You can drive to Ellsworth or Acadia National Park or take the ferry to Bar Harbor. Plenty of things are available in the area, including a farmers' market and plenty of organic options for dining and buying food. A lineup of exciting events is planned.
Season of Operation: West Bay Acadia RV Campground is open from May to October.
