History: Portland, Maine has a railroad and shipping past. Thompson's Point was a busy transfer area between railroads and shipping. As the rail declined, many of the buildings on the point were demolished. What was left has been converted into amazing venues for the public to enjoy.
Highlights: In the winter, a huge ice skating rink attracts families for outdoor ice skating. The State Theatre holds a summer concert series at The Depot Pavilion. Rentals: Brick South is the former machine shop of the Maine Central Railroad. With 25,000 square feet of event space, it can handle just about any event.
