SUMMARY: Thomas College is located in Waterville and offers the full college experience in a small, close-knit community. Thomas College has undergraduate, graduate and master’s programs. MORE INFORMATION: History: Thomas College has a storied history that dates back to 1894. In 1894, Kiest Business College was established above an F.W. Woolworth Co. The college was purchased and renamed the Morgan Business College just two years later. In 1911, the college underwent another purchase and name change and became Morgan-Thomas Business College.
In the 1950s, the college underwent another name change to Thomas Junior College. At that point, the college moved to a mansion on Silver Street in Waterville. The college expanded to include new classroom buildings and dormitories. In 1962, it was renamed to Thomas College.
Visiting the Campus: Thomas College offers guided tours which are led by Student Ambassadors. Tours will take prospective students around the campus, into classrooms, dormitories and common spaces. Guests will have the chance to chat with current students, professors, the admissions team and the financial aid office.
Tours can be scheduled on the Thomas College website and are typically held Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 2 PM and Saturdays starting at 9 AM. Hours can vary based on the time of year and Student Ambassador availability, so check the online calendar for the most up-to-date tour times.
