History: The original Edgewater was purchased in 1953 by the Janelle family. Due to changing fire codes, they tore down the Edgewater in 1966 and built a new inn, which is the current Edgewater.
Amenities: Rooms include a TV, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a private bathroom with toiletries. Some rooms have jetted bathtubs and ocean views. Suites and kitchenettes have kitchen areas. Outside, there is a seasonal heated outdoor pool and a sundeck. There is an electric vehicle charging station on-site. The hotel has a function room that can accommodate up to 40 people.
Recreational Activities: The main attraction in the area is Old Orchard Beach with its swimming, boogie boarding, and sunbathing. Palace Playland is a fun boardwalk area with food, carnival rides, and games.
