History: The inn was built in 1928 and opened in 1930 as a boarding house for quarry workers who were working on Clark Island. In 1947, it was converted to an inn. The Vestry building behind the inn was once a chapel where the workers worshiped.

The Causeway Restaurant and Clark Bar is on-site and has an ocean-view deck. The restaurant serves dinner on Thursday through Monday and brunch on Sunday.
