SUMMARY: The Bubbles in Acadia National Park is a short 1.5-mile trail system that leads to North Bubble, South Bubble, and Bubble Rock. The summit offers views of Jordan Pond and gorgeous mountains. Terrain includes forests, rocky areas, granite, and stairs, making it moderately challenging. Bring binoculars to view native birds like sparrows, eagles, and warblers. Hikers may be surprised in the summer to find wild blueberry bushes along the trails! Bubble Rock is a fun photo opportunity spot where visitors can pretend to push the rock over the cliff’s edge.
MORE INFORMATION: Best Time to Visit: Late spring to early fall is the best time to visit. Fall foliage is peak from late September to mid-October. Visit in the early morning or late afternoon for lower crowds and easier parking.
Season/Hours of Operation: Open daily, no set hours. During the off-season, parking lots nearby may be closed, and hikers will need to walk in. An entrance fee to Acadia National Park is charged.
Parking: Parking is available at the Jordan Pond North Lot, Bubble Rock Parking Area, and Jordan Pond House Parking Area. The lots are small and do fill up quickly during peak season.

- South Bubble: This trail leads to Bubble Rock, which is a giant granite boulder that looks like it could tilt off of Bubble Mountain! Dogs are not allowed on this trail.
