MORE INFORMATION: History: Swallowtail Farm started as a very small operation with one jersey milk cow. The owners made homemade yogurt and would bring it to local farmer’s markets. The yogurt was well received and so the owners decided to start a small dairy business.
Specialties: Swallowtail Farm and Creamery specializes in fresh, creamy yogurt. Yogurt is packaged in an old-fashioned glass jar and comes in flavors like vanilla, plain, blueberry, strawberry and maple. All ingredients are locally sourced. The yogurt comes in Greek or Icelandic style, or in a YoGo Smoothie.
The farm also sells freshly made cheese, including ricotta, mozzarella, feta, bel paese, ebb tide, fromage, and brie.
Other products available include kefir, herbal body care products, jams and soaps.
