Terrain includes rocky areas, forest, and a creek that hikers will need to pass. Hikers will ascend two peaks of South Branch Mountain on this trail.
South Branch Mountain Trail Highlights:
- Keep an eye out for beavers along the ponds and creek. They’ve been known to create large dams.
- Views from the south peak are open and stunning. Traveler Range (to the east) and Katahdin (to the south) can be seen on a clear day.
