History: The inn was built in 1887 as a summer cottage for William Rice and his wife Elizabeth. The inn was designed by the architect Arthur Rotch. Over the years, the cottage changed ownership and was home to politicians, writers, and wealthy families.
Amenities: Rooms include Wi-Fi, central air conditioning, private bathrooms, luxurious linens, a gas fireplace, and cable TV. The common areas include a living room, dining room, parlor, and outdoor lawn. There are Adirondack chairs on the lawn for guests to sit back and relax while overlooking Frenchman Bay.
