SUMMARY: Otter Cliffs is a popular destination within Acadia National Park. It features granite cliffs and sweeping coastal views. Pink granite cliffs tower 110 feet over the ocean, making for a challenging rock climbing experience. Visitors enjoy taking photographs of the beautiful scenery, bird watching, spotting sealife, hiking the Otter Point Loop Trail, viewing sunsets, and, of course, rock climbing. Otter Cliffs are also known as the birthplace of American rock climbing, which was first noted in the 1930s.
