SUMMARY: The Merrymeeting Dog Park encompasses 1.5 acres adjacent to the Androscoggin River Bicycle Path. The park has separate areas for small and large dogs with a 6-foot fence between them. The park opened in 2013 in honor of Jake Horgan and was created in partnership with the Town of Brunswick and the B.A.R.K. (Brunswick Area Recreation for Kanines).

- Dogs must be licensed and wear an ID and rabies tag
- Dogs must be vaccinated and healthy to visit
- Aggressive dogs and dogs in heat are not allowed in the park
- Remove spike and pinch collars before entering.
- Discourage dogs from digging holes and fill in any that may occur
- No smoking, glass containers, or food allowed
- No children under 4 years old; Children under 13 must have a supervising adult
- Minimum dog age: 4 months
- Maximum dogs per handler: 3
Amenities: There are dog waste bag stations available at the entrance. Water faucets are turned on seasonally, from mid-May to mid-October, to fill dog bowls. Seating is readily available with 8 benches in the park.
Hours of Operation: Open daily, a half an hour before sunrise to a half an hour after sunset.
