SUMMARY: The Maine Science Festival is a yearly event held at and sponsored by the Maine Discovery Museum in Bangor. It offers five days of activities for people of all ages, focusing on Maine's place in science and science in our everyday lives. Lots of things to see, do, and learn. A great introduction to science in a very entertaining way.
MORE INFORMATION: History: The Maine Science Festival is the only science festival in Maine. The MSF launched in 2015 and is a celebration of the part Maine plays in national and world-leading science.
Month Held: The Maine Science Festival is held in late March from a Wednesday to a Sunday.
Attractions:
- Friday is Field Trip Day and is a program offered to students in 7-8th grade. You must register in advance.
- Forums and talks will be offered by a host of experts. Q&A time will be encouraged.
- Exploration Station is a hands-on opportunity for all ages in science, engineering, innovation, and technology.
- Workshops are available on a variety of scientific topics.
- Art/Science Symbiosis takes a look at how art and science complement each other.
- Pop-up events will be a surprise, a film, a talk, a presentation and more.

Admission: Admission to the Maine Science Festival is free. The Maine Discovery Museum has an entrance fee of $12 with a $2 discount for seniors and military.
Parking: Street parking is available on Main Street and side streets in the area, as well as the Pickering Square Garage.
