Number of Rooms: 8 guest rooms in the main lodge and 4 additional rooms in Pickford House
History: The lodge was constructed in 1899. The lodge was called Camp Weduba when it first opened and served as a family camp. Over the years, the lodge changed ownership. In the 1950s, it became a private residence and then, in the 1960s, opened up to the public as a lodge and diner, known as the Davis Lodge. In the 1970s, it was again purchased by a new family and named Rangeley Lake Lodge. Finally, in 2006, the inn became The Loon Lodge Inn and Restaurant!
The lodge was fully renovated in the 2010s and new spaces were added, such as a private bar and event rooms.
Dining and Wedding Services: An evening at The Loon Lodge is always memorable and relaxed, yet elegant. The food outstanding. Offering a wide variety of wine and some of the finest food in all of New England, our ever-changing menu is truly New American Cuisine and enjoys a well-known reputation.
With our casual elegance setting and attention to detail with our obliging staff, we are limited to the number of guests we are able to accommodate and do recommend reservations. The Loon Lodge also enjoys a private dining room for special functions seating up to 24 people. The setting is cozy and intimate, with windows looking over the lake and hills beyond. Recreational Activities: Popular recreational activities in the area include hiking, mountain biking, fishing, swimming, boating, hunting, snowshoeing, cross country skiing at the Rangeley XC Ski Trails and ATVing. Saddleback Mountain is perfect for those looking to ski and snowboard. The inn is located directly on a snowmobile trail that includes a snowmobile ramp leading to the lake.
Other outdoor activities include golfing, horseback riding, and viewing wildlife.
