MORE INFORMATION: History: The International Sea Plane Fly-In began in 1973. Today in addition to the usual Cessnas, Cubs and Beavers, some rare planes have been known to participate. If you love flying, this is not to be missed event.
Month Held: The International Sea Plane Fly-In takes place the weekend after Labor Day in September from Wednesday to Sunday.
Attractions: Attractions include plenty of opportunities to enjoy great food with a pig roast, a steak and lobster dinner, banquet and breakfast. Live music, vendor and craft fair, pilot contests, a meet and greet with the pilots, and more. But the main attraction is the sea planes and their take offs and landings on Moosehead Lake.
Admission: Different events require tickets which can be purchased on their website.
Parking: For this event it is first come, first served to find a spot to view the seaplanes. People come by canoe to find their spot and others sit on top of their RVs. Bring a lawn chair and find your spot.
