Offering launches both morning and evening, the hot air balloons will take you wherever the wind blows. Hot air balloons can accommodate two to ten passengers, depending on the size of the balloon. Each ride includes a champagne toast at the end! For those who may be afraid of heights or want to stay on the ground, there's plenty to keep the whole family busy. From contests, vendors, kids' activities, a variety of food options, and musical acts, everyone is sure to have a great time.
MORE INFORMATION: History: The Great Falls Balloon Festival started in 1992 as a way to support the local non-profit organizations and businesses in the Lewiston/Auburn area. The festival has grown each year and now pulls in nearly 100,000 guests each year.

Attractions: Hot air balloon rides are the biggest draw of the festival. Balloon rides are typically launched in the morning and again in the evening. Other attractions include a pancake breakfast, a parade, and a Family Fun Day. Family Fun Day includes a fun run, diaper dash, face painting, live music, a bounce house, entertainment acts, hay rides, and vendors. There are food trucks and booths offering an assortment of refreshments throughout the day.

Parking: Parking is available in downtown Lewiston. There are also lots close by Simard-Payne Memorial Park. A donation is requested to park in one of the community lots.
