MORE INFORMATION: History of Venue: Eastport Arts Center began as a seed in the minds of its artist co-founders more than 30 years ago. The 19th century church that houses the arts center was purchased in 2004. It is located in downtown Eastport. Today the 17,000- sq. ft. building has a concert hall that can seat 106, as well as lobbies, green room, large community center/gallery with commercial kitchen, teaching areas, offices and workspaces. The building is energy efficient to provide warmth no matter what the season.
Venue Uses: The building is well-used and provides the community with a venue for performances of all types, workshops, dance and yoga classes, art exhibitions, film screenings, and open mic nights. Community events, social gatherings, and communal meals bring the residents together in appreciation of the arts.
Admission: Events are priced individually and can run from $0 to $25. Funds to allow those who can't afford tickets are available.
Food: Concessions are available at some performances with money benefiting the EAC.
Rentals: The Eastport Arts Center is available for rent for a half day or a whole day. The rental includes the use of a commercial kitchen.
Parking: Eastport Arts Center doesn't have its own parking lot. Public parking is available on Water Street.
