MORE INFORMATION: History: The small town of Corinna, Maine was once known for its woolen mills. A once thriving mill town, Corinna also had door and window-blind factories. Shoemaking, boot factories, and iron foundries were also a part of Corinna’s industrial portfolio. The Eastland Woolen Mill was in business from the 1930s to 1997. The Corinna Historical Society was established to preserve this history.
Collections and Highlights: The collection includes personal stories of locals, Maine and mill artifacts, and photographs. The collection has a strong focus on Corinna but does also detail Penobscot County and surrounding Maine communities as well.
