MORE INFORMATION: Number of Campsites: Chewonki Campground has 47 spacious campsites overlooking salt water. Tent sites are available and offer their own unique locations and views. All sites have fireplaces and a picnic table. 28 RV sites have 30-50 electricity, water and sewer. The length of these grassy sites range between 36’ – 80’ long and 21’- 32’ wide. Each of the RV sites has its own unique features. Some sites are extra wide and can accommodate slide-outs. Many sites have great views.
Campground Amenities: WiFi is offered on the porch of the store. The camp store sells camping necessities as well as snacks, drinks, and ice cream. The campground provides what guests need to use the recreation facilities offered. Books can be borrowed from the small library. The pool house has showers and bathroom facilities. The perennial gardens are enjoyed by everyone.
Recreational Activities: Single and double kayaks and canoes are available for rental. Guests can enjoy the rec hall for fooseball, cards, games, and free wifi. Social events happen throughout the season. A playground is located near the rec hall. A boat ramp and a dock are free for guests to use. Guests have use of two saltwater pools, one of which is a wading pool. Guests can also enjoy the tennis court and one-hole golf course. An ice cream social is enjoyed every Saturday evening.
Season of Operation: Chewonki Campground is open from May 15 to October 15.
Pet Policy: Chewonki Campground is pet-friendly. Well-behaved dogs and other animals are welcome at Chewonki.

- Rabies papers are required.
- Kindly keep pets from disturbing other guests.
- Please have them on a NON RETRACTABLE leash at all times.
- If you leave your campsite or campground, please take your pets with you.
- It is up to the owners to immediately clean up after their pet.
- Pets are not allowed in the pool area.
- Dogs who incessantly bark or show aggressive behavior will not be allowed at campground.
