SUMMARY: The Caribou Historical Center & Museum has a collection that focuses on the history of Caribou, held throughout four buildings - the primary Historical Center, a replica schoolhouse, a barn, and a garage. Outside, right behind the Historical Center, enjoy a walk on one of the peaceful Caribou trails.

Collections and Highlights: The collection includes over 10,000 artifacts from the Caribou area that showcase household items, medicine, businesses, and farming. The barn has a collection of vintage farming tools and equipment. Items include wagons, saws, sawmills, and more. War artifacts include Civil War, World War I, and World War II uniforms, weapons, medals, and even a prosthetic leg. The Lyndon Schoolhouse is a replica of the original 1860 Lyndon schoolhouse. The schoolhouse has vintage student desks, a teacher’s desk, classroom items, and a vintage chalkboard.
