SUMMARY: Located on Bunganut Lake in Lyman, ME, this 60 acre campground has roomy sites and plenty of outdoor adventures and activities for the whole family. An abundance of white birch trees provides a shady canopy to protect campers from the summer sun. No matter what type of site you choose, you will have shade. Since the summer of 1961, generations of families have come to enjoy the pristine beauty of Bunganut Lake Camping Area.
MORE INFORMATION: Number of Campsites: Every one of 110 campsites has water, electricity, a fire pit and a picnic table. The sites have 30 amp service. A lovely cabin is for rent overlooking the lake. Seasonal sites are available. Tents are welcome. The campground is on a hill, so it can be a steep walk to the beach. Pull through sites are available.
Campground Amenities: Bunganut Lake Camping Area has hot showers ($), modern bathrooms, and a laundromat provided. A camp store carries all the necessities, such as ice and firewood, as well as snacks. A dump station and dumpsters are available.
Recreational Activities: There is no swimming pool at Bunganut Lake Camping Area, but guests enjoy the sandy beach and swimming in Bunganut Lake. The Rec Hall has games, high speed internet and cable TV and a ping pong table. Guests enjoy the horseshoe pit, playground, and library. Live DJs and themed weekends offer additional entertainment. If you bring a boat, canoe, or kayak, there is a boat launch.
Season of Operation: Bunganut Lake Camping Area is open from May 1 to October 15.
