History: The Berry Manor Inn building was built in 1898 by Charles H. Berry, a wealthy Rockland merchant. He built the Victorian mansion as a wedding gift for his wife. The home stayed in his family for four generations before being sold to another family who resided there for about 50 years. The current owners purchased the mansion and converted it to an inn. The Victorian architecture has been well-preserved to include original features. The mansion is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.
