SUMMARY: Beal University’s main campus is in Bangor, but the popular satellite campus for nursing students is located in Wilton. Wilton is the location that focuses on the Associate Degree Nursing program with on-site training. For the nursing program, the Wilton location has virtual reality laboratories that simulate hands-on learning. Students are paired up and practice taking vitals and assessing the health needs of each other in the practice patient rooms on campus. There are also mannequins that simulate a real patient in a hospital setting. At capacity, Beal University states that it can train 100 nurses each year.
The program is hybrid where students will take some classes online and then come to Wilton to complete clinicals and simulations. The Nursing program at Beal University in Wilton is an 18-month program with year-round classes. The first 4 months can be done completely online.

MORE INFORMATION: History: Beal University was established in 1891 by Mary E. Beal. Over the years, the name changed along with the course offerings. It started with just 25 students and grew to over 100 students within the first year. Mary E. Beal was the president of the college from 1891 to 1922.
The Wilton satellite campus opened in 2022 at 75 Allen Street.
Visiting the Campus: Hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 AM to 6:30 PM and Friday 8 AM to 4 PM. Contact the Admissions or Business office to discuss a visit to the Wilton campus.
