Amenities: Rooms include a private bathroom, an LED TV, Wi-Fi, luxury linens, toiletries, air conditioning, and a mini fridge. Many rooms have a working fireplace; some have a patio or balcony and/or a Japanese soaking tub. Guests can borrow bicycles and beach chairs.
Recreational Activities: AWOL is close to Dock Square, which has plenty of boutiques and souvenir shops, restaurants, and galleries. Those who love the outdoors will enjoy the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge, the Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve, Webhannet Marsh Trail, and Lafayette Park. There are plenty of opportunities to hike, view wildlife, explore trails, fish, or kayak. Nearby beaches include Goochs, Kennebunk, Parsons, and Crescent Surf. The local beaches are great for swimming, surfing, kayaking, sunbathing, and exploring tide pools. In the fall and winter, guests enjoy viewing beautiful foliage, skiing, snowboarding, and seasonal holiday events.
