Open from Memorial Day in May to October 22nd Appalachian Trail Hostel & Outfitters offer several different types of rooms that can accommodate singles or groups. The least expensive is the hostel type accommodations which are coed bunk bed communal rooms. A shared kitchen, bathrooms and showers provide the bare necessities normal along the Appalachian Trail. Six private rooms are available for one or two people and two self-contained private family suites can accommodate up to 6. Suites are air-conditioned.
For unique accommodations, The Hikers Yearbook Bus a former school bus has accomodation for 2 with a full bed and A/C.
Amenities available to all guests include free street parking, coin operated washer and dryer, showers with towels soap and shampoo, Wi-Fi, outdoor seating and a kitchen.
Appalachian Trail Hostel & Outfitters offers a shuttle service primarily for guests but they can accommodate others with prior arrangement. The shuttle services the last 115 miles of the Appalachian Trail and also the 138.4 miles of the Maine International Appalachian Trail all the way to Canada from Katahdin Woods which is the southern terminus.
The Outfitters portion of the business offers souvenirs and gear and necessities for hikers. Offered are clothes, maps, meals, bars, water containers, and with advance notice your entire light-weight kit can be ready for you when you arrive.
