Amenities: Rooms feature air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a TV, a mini refrigerator, a safe, in-room coffee, and housekeeping. Outside, there is a fire pit, pool and jacuzzi, lawn games, a playground, and movie nights on the lawn. Guests have direct trail access to Acadia National Park. Or, take the seasonal Island Explorer shuttle, which has a stop near the hotel.
The hotel offers packages for kids, such as Kid’s Kampout or the Bedtime Story Package. Kids Kampout includes a lantern, tent, and mat for in-room camping. The Kid’s Package includes a stuffed animal and a book.
Recreational Activities: In July and August, visit the fire pit on-site for S’Mores. Or, catch a family-friendly movie in the backyard (chairs and blankets provided). Acadia National Park offers hiking, biking, horseback riding, swimming, and picnicking. Book a formal park tour or explore on your own. Kayaks and canoes can be rented at Long Pond. Other local water activities include whale watching and lobster boat cruises. Local museums include Abbe Museum and the Bar Harbor Historical Society.
