History: The Abbot Historical Society was established in 1997. In 1998, the Pythian Sisterhood gave the Historical Society the Knights of Pythia Hall, which was turned into a museum. Pythia Hall was built by the Mt. Kineo Masonic Lodge. It changed hands and ownership through the years and was used as a meeting place and classroom.
Collections and Highlights: The collection includes photographs, documents, town records, and genealogical records.
Exhibitions, Events & Programs: The Abbot Historical Society participates in many community events including ice cream socials, game day, Memorial Day dinner, yard sales, turkey pie suppers, and Old Home Sunday. Check their Facebook page for upcoming events.
